AlterCall

I agree and I disagree with the Alter call the reasons I agree with are because this is how some people come to Jesus that is the only way they can come to know God say a trucker is going threw town and decides to go to church and hears in unbelievable message and comes to know God and and accepts him at in "alter call". And Alter calls are way many Christians come to Faith Such as at a Billy Ghram Sermon he always does in alter call and there are always thousends of people there and many go down when he tells people that the buses will wait and everything. The reasons I disagree are many people can go down on an alter call and not really be a Christian but since they went down everyone is going to think they are the can fake it which I am guessing many people do. Another thing you see none of the great evangalists of the great awaking did alter calls and the still led very many people to Jesus. In the End I would have to say that I am more for the alter call and not so much against it as some people are. You have to think of the life's that have changed because of alter calls more than not having an alter call. I do not believe it is bad you might dsiagree with me but that is just how I feel on this subject.

Glee.

I very Much enjoyed the little bit of glee we watched. In the eposide you can see the Kurt was not a Christian and even says it many times and gets mad at people for praying for his father. You can also see the crazy view when Fen thought that God was in the Grilled Cheese and thought if he prayed with/ and for the bred his prayers would come true. And Then when he was talking with his counslor She explained all of these things and why the Cheese God could not have done any of those things and then he says that he didn't even believe in God anymore. At the end of the show you see kurt talking to His dad and telling him that he did not believe in God and was just talking to him and telling him how he went to church and everything and then how he should have let his friedns pary for his dad and everything. Then while he was holding his Dads hand he came back like not really talking again but he acctully started to grip it and in this part Christians can see that God is real and the prayers of his friends were answered. In this show of Glee there were many take on God some people believed in Him the Black girl some thought he was a grilled Cheese fen some did not kurt. You can also see that the Lady with down syndrom explain to her sister that everyone God Makes is perfect. I would have more but was gone for most of the Show. I beleive they some what take are Faith as a Joke and not really respect it as they should. I belive they are portraying somethings accurate and somethings not so true like.

Matthew 5 talks about many things there are so many things we can take and apply to are everyday life in this chapter. The thing I took out of many in this of is oaths and how a yes is a yes and a no is a no. We should really take this to heart and live this out so if a friend tells you something we do not and on and tell everyone else about it becasue we said yes which means yes. It also talks about lust I learned that if you lust over a women you it is the same as adultry so when I get married I will know if I lust over another woman or women it is the same as cheating on my wife.

I have never really had a problem with Halloween and probably never will. Most of the holidays we have are somewhat wrong or have been changed for instance christmas santa clause and easter the easter bunny so I believe if we do not want to do halloween because of so called witches and stuff then we don't need to do the other Holidays with the Big Guy santa or The bunny just celebrate and not give gifts. I do think if we are going to do Halloween we should not go over board though and believe in the Hole witch and demon thing there is a fine line with just doing it and going that far.

Special Olympics

Today we went to help out with special olympic bowling. Yesterdeay I was thinking how this we would be I was saying you know what this is not going to be very fun just helping a bunch of people who are handicaped and can't do anything. The only reason I was looking forward to today was so skip the morning classes and get to eat out for lunch. Well was I wrong this morning when we got there I was still saying to myself this was not going to be fun even when the lady told me lane 4 i was mad. When I got to lane 3 I met the 2 women i would be helping and were they nice. They might not have said much but I could tell they were having a great time and so was I! All of the people who were there today were in such good sprits every single one of them was just so happy to be there even if they didn't know what they were doing they were so happy to be there. And i was very happy to hel[p after I got there it was fun to push the ball and line up the ramp to see how many strikes or spares I could help them get. Through this whole thing I was thanking God that He made me the way I am and I do not have a Handicap and I Take so many things that I can do forgranted such as walking talking reading etc...There were many people today that could not do any of that. Another thing I think we need to treat people who are handicaped better i was always a little scred of handicaped people but not after today once we started I did not even think about them being different and we should not look at them different just becuase they can't talk or cant walk we were all made by the same person just a little different. There are many things we can learn from these people also in many things I beleive if we tried as hard as they did today in Bowling then we might never loose a game of football.

Andy Braner

Last week was spiritual emphasis week and I went into chapel last Monday thinking oh this was going to be another boaring spiritual emphasis week and boy was i wrong! On Monday Andy Braner talked to us and asked us two questions that his first college professor Asked him. They were how do we no we are acctually here and how do we know are good is real. These two questions really make you think you know how do we know that we are really here and not just a something little on something that is very big you know we really don't know those questions really kept we wondering all of monday even during the football game monday night I was thinking about those questions i probably shouldn't have been but I was. On Tuesday he told us a story about how when he was at arizona state near all the bars and he saw the walking Jesus and the person couldn't answer his questions. Later That Day he Spoke in our bible class and he told us all the ways the we know the bible is true and not just saying we know the bible is true because we believe in God we can't say that to someone who does not believe in God. The Ways we can tell non believers the Bible and everything in it is true is by history there are archeology facts throughout history that prove the bible is true throughout all the civilizations and the Hittites and Harrod. We also no the bible does not contradict itself like the other religous books. We also have Oral Tradition that we can see the Bible is true. I can now tell someone who is a non believer all these ways to prove to them why the bible is true and not some crazy book that crazy people mad. On Wednesday I Attend the Act Workshop and did not get to hear Andy Speak:( but I do no he talked on the lines of behave.  On Thursday we talked about Good Spiritual food and bad spiritual food he took us threw some of the top songs such as love the way you lie And just the way you are And etc... Most Of the top songs that are out not in the best spritual food and we as christians need to know that He also told us not to run from God we should not run away when he is calling us we need to do it no matter what he told us when God was calling him to adopt he didn't know if he could do it but he did he didn't run from God and we shouldn't either. He also challenged us to get and Do stuff be like starbucks corrporration get out help out don't just think about yourself. This was by FAR the Best Spiritual Emphasis week Since I have been at Oba Andy Braner really connected with me and most of the students he talked about real issues we face and real things we do it was great i loved Andy Braner and all that guy stands for He Is amazing!

Friends

There Are many qualities for friends. A good friend is someone who is always there for you someone you can be there with through the thick and the thin a good friend needs to be someone you can talk to someone who you have stuff in common with someone who is always there for you no matter what you can laugh with do the right thing with Because you don't want a friend who is going to do drugs every weekend that is not good A good friend should also be a Christian. Becasue having a good friend who is will be good because they will lead you in the right direction and tell you hey buddy that's wrong and you will know this person will not being doing stupid stuff also. The qualities of a good friend i have from another school are this person i can talk to them whenever it does not matter what they are doing they can talk to me this person is also a good person (as far as i know) haha but this person also enjoys the same thing i do so we can talk about that this person also gives me good advice so that always helps me when i'm not having the best day you know. 

When You where gone Mr Bishop talked about the races and how we should not look at people by there skin color and look on the inside it is sad to think about all the people who think black people are less then white people even up until the year 2000 when Bob jones university a Christian University would not let a black person date a white person this is a christian university saying that the two could not date. And the man that formed the Ku Klux Klan went to to seminary. We also talked about how much Charles Darwin in evolutionist has affected the church. Darwin says that Black people are the lowest type of primate and asian people are the middle and white people come from the smartest type of primate it is just unbelievable that people think this even people in are church's look poorly at black people it is sad to think about all the people who believe in darwin's teachings. In the End we should all see that it is not about are skin color it is about the in side.

John Mayer

I really enjoyed the song we did last friday in class it was so soothing and relaxing. I liked how we got in depth with the song and we saw how the in the end it didn't end up very well. John Mayer is also very talented and is so great at playing the guitar.

Well there are many things to look for in your future spouse. One of these things i'm looking at are looks because you have to be attracted to your wife. You also to look at her heart to see if she has a good one because you don't want a wife who has a bad heart.

Stephen Hawking Really?

Today while I was looking for something for my first blog. I ran across a story about Stephen Hawking the world famous physicist. In his new book "The Grand design" he says that God could not have created the universe and the universe could have only created it's self. Now to me this is just mind boggling to to think that someone thinks that the universe was created by its self. It sad to think about all the people who will go out and buy this book and believe it when we know that God created everything.
