Martin Luther

Martin Luther was a man that changed the whole world by being courageous in the 1500's. In 1905 Luther became a monk as we saw in the movie he mad the choice to become a monk because he was almost struck by a bolt of lighting while he was coming home and he prayed to God to help him and save him and God did save him so Luther then devoted his whole life to tell the world about God. Luther became somewhat famous when he wrote his Ninety-Five Theses which he nailed to the door of a church at Wittenburg the Ninety-Five Theses were accusing  the Roman Catholic Church of Heresy.  After This Martin was looked at as a Criminal and the Roman Leader called him an outlaw so Martin decided to go into hiding.  While Martin was hiding he decided to translate the Bible into German. At this time the Bible had only been Latin and was out of reach for many Christians this meant that Christians didn't know if the Preacher was even telling them the right thing out of the bible because they didn't have one or could even go look at one because they could not read it. So what Luther did really changed how the World Worked in many ways.  If Luther would have never done what he did with the catholic church we might have only have Catholicism today. Martin Luther should be someone that all Christians look up to. The reason being is that he stood up for what was right he knew that there was something wrong with the Catholic church and many Catholics new there was something wrong they just were to scared to say anything. You even see in the movie I forgot who it was but it was someone with the Catholic Church and they thank martin for what he did and they even say I was scared or something along those lines. I could not think of a world today with really only one form of Christianity but you know it  could have easily been this way if Martin Would not have stood up for what he believed in. He single handily made the christian denominations of today come about because he stood up for what was right. Another way we see Martins courage how he dealt with temptation and even Satan because you see in the movie it seemed like he was talking to himself and i believe he was arguing with Satan and his Power and how he never gave up with what he was doing. Along with all the Courage he showed and writing the bible in German he also wrote Luther's small catechism which is a small training book that teaches children the bible it includes the main points of the bible. So all in all I learned quite a bit about Martin Luther while I was doing this blog and enjoyed learning about him and how good of a person and someone that I should look up to because the way he stood up to everyone not even caring about what they were going to do or say. 

Chapter 8 is a long chapter and talks about many things and really helps you think about many things. Some of the things it talks about are Gods plan and how the Bible makes it clear to us that God's will us for his people to be sactered like salt among the light. Another thing it talks about is not everyone has to be a missionarry or a pastor there is a partnership between missionarys and pastors. This means that some people should stay here and do work and other people should go out and teach the word. But the people who work can also ministry in there own way and in there own profession. In this Chapter there was a question that i read about that should be burning in all Christians that I really thought about and it was. How can my life count for the Glory of God? Which means You should do everything for the Glory of God not waste any time giving him glory just do it all the time when you are playing sports brushing your teeth whatever you need to be giving him all the glory. One way you can enjoy God's presence and felloship is thorugh Thankfullness and awarness with God and his Creation you can see all God has done and be thankful for it. Even when you look at an ant and see it running on the Ground you know that God put life into it and made it that way or when you see a bever build a dam you know God gave it the will power to do that to know how to build it. It is so amazing to think that he did all of this it is just so ming boggoling.

After watching this show it is amazing to see how there are acctually people in america living this way and this poor. Most of the time when you think of this your thinking of some undeveloped country not america. It is also very sad to think that some of the people that are there put them selfs there becasue the choices they made and they could have prevented themselves from going to "Skid Row" if they would have just made better descions. Now to the secrect Millionare show. I really enoy the "secrect Millionare series and tend to watch them weekly so when I saw the commericals for this particular eposide I was very interested to see how it was going to be. There were many reasons why i was interested in this particular eposide one of those reasons was that we have had jerimiah who used to live there talk to us many times. I really think the whole show was very good and if you were someone who does not know much about skid row like most people it really oppens yuor eyes and see some of the things that are going on in america that you maybe did not want to know about. In the end of the show i thought it was really nice of the guy to donate all of that money to skid row. I strongly believe that will help them out a ton.

I do not think Tv is wrong to an extent I believe we should watch some tv to stay in tune with everyting going on in the world. I belive if you You would not watch tv you mighth not know what was happening in the the world. But with Tv you should not watch so much to take time away from God. I belive with tv yuo should set some limitations to how much you watch so you are not watching so much that it is preventing you from other things. I really enjoyed these chapters of the book it is really making me life life and not wanting to waste it.

Lord save us from your followers

This movie really makes you look and see what some people in this world really think about christianity. You see many non believers in this movie and you see what their view of christians and how most of the time its not the best. They think all christians are judge mental and whatever but not all christians are like that! This movie shows many ways people really see us and we can watch this and see how we need to change so we can help no believers out and not just doing what we always do but changing. A part in this movie i really liked and i think would be a neat thing to do sometime is the confessional booth but not have people confess to you but you confess to them you tell them the wrong things you have done not them telling you what they have done. Ireally believe this would help everyone because you would get all of that off of you and you would also be minestering to others and that could break the ice and they could talk to you about more things and you could learn more about them. I believe all christians need to watch these movies like this one and the last one so we can learn more about are faith and get a greater awaness for are faith and we can also learn many things from this that can help us teach other people and we would be teaching are self. So along with that i might add that we watch movies that are like that and or similar in the near future.

I really enjoyed this movie and got very intrested in it! I really think this lady has a strong passion for God most people in are class might disagree with me but i believe she is really teaching these kids! All of the kids she was teaching were on fire for God i think we need to take some lessons from these kids. That girl was like 8 and was trying to convert people to become christians when i was 8 i was watching spongebob not even thinking of that. And that boy with the rat tail he can really preach he did a great job and was on fire for jesus people in class were laughing and talking but they really should take lessons from him he was awesome! There are many goods to this movie but there are also some bad things like a church is not really anything unless yuo scream and wave your hands at church i dont really know if i beleive that but oh well there are still really good lessons we can learn from this movie. The speaking in tounges thing kinda weireded me out a little bit i really didnt understand it it was weird because even the littlest of kids at the conference were doing it! another part that was weird was that Ted hagard when he said the thing about the gays right on the camera and then all that came out about him. It just shows you that there hypocrits running some of are church's and he was one of the best preachers in the whole usa until all of that happend. Some non christians might watch this movie and think christians are all crazy and we are all like this but we are not all not like that! There are many differnt types of christians and all people worship different ways these people just worshpied  to the extreme she went hard for God!

1. Boasting on the cross means that you are boasting while you are on the cross. So this means that we need to live for him and not and just him not anyone else.


2. We will die on earth but are sprits will live on forever in heaven so we are just dying on the earth "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me."
3. I think  there are more areas in my life that i'm not living through faith than living. Like sports for instance I sometimes Im not always doing what God would like me to do such as use language or play rough and things. There are many areas i could work on with living my life fully for God.
